UPSC online Application form for Geologist Examination 2013
Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) in its Examination Notice No 12/2013-GEOL, Dt.:- 24-08-2013 has invited online Applications form for the Geologist Examination 2013 and this Examination has been conducted by the UPSC for filling up the vacancies of Geologist Group 'A', Assistant Geologist Grade-I(Group 'B'), Jr. Hydro Geologists(Scientist B) Group 'A' and Assistant Hydro Geologist, Group 'B' against 147 vacancies. So all interested candidates who wanted to be sit for this All India Geologist Examination 2013 must read the complete Notification carefully and those who fulfills all the necessary eligibility criteria must apply by visiting the official link before the last date passes away. Last Date- The online Application will be filled up to 23rd September 2013
Post Name with their vacancies break up-
The vacancies are to be divided into two Categories
A) Category I- Post in the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines
1) Geologist Group 'A'- 50 Vacancies
2) Assistant Geologist Grade-I(Group 'B')- 25 Vacancies
B) Category-II- Post in the Central Ground Water board, Ministry of water Resources
3) Jr. Hydro Geologists(Scientist B) Group 'A'- 33 Vacancies
4) Assistant Hydro Geologist, Group 'B' - 39 Vacancies
Educational Qualification- The candidates obtain the Master Degree in the respective discipline from Govt. recognized University but for complete details click the Notification link below
Age limit-
1) For S.No 1and 2 under Category I- The candidate must attain the age of 21 years and must not attain the age of 32 years as on 1st August 2013.
2) For S.No 3 under Category-II- The candidate must attain the age of 21 years and must not attain the age of 35 years as on 1st August 2013.
3) For S.No 4 under Category-II- The candidate must attain the age of 21 years and must not attain the age of 30 years as on 1st August 2013.
Fee to be Paid:- The SC/ST/PH are exempted to pay the fee and Rs 200 for all others.
Selection Plan- Written Exam and Interview for Personality test of such candidates as may be called by the commission carrying a maximum of 200 marks.
