Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) a statutory body which is under the administrative control of Government of India, Ministry of Consumer affairs, Food and Public distribution and is responsible for activities in the field of Standardization has invites online Application for filling up the various vacancies of Assistant, Translator, Stenographer and clerk against the available vacancies.So all the interested candidates who wanted to apply for these vacancies must see the below mentioned eligibility criteria carefully and after that fill the complete application before 24th May 2013.
Post to be filled-
1) Assistant- 17 vacancies ( UR-3, SC-2, ST- 8, OBC- 4)
2) Junior Translator(Hindi)- 2 vacancies ( UR-0, SC-0, ST- 0, OBC- 2)
3) Lower Division Clerk - 46 vacancies ( UR-25, SC-06, ST- 4, OBC- 11)
4) Junior Stenographer- 21 vacancies ( UR-11, SC- 2, ST- 2, OBC- 6)
5) Stenographer- 15 vacancies ( UR-5, SC- 4, ST- 5, OBC- 1)
5) Technical Assistant(Lab)( Chemical - 33, Mechanical- 35, Electrical- 22, Microbiology- 7)- 97 vacancies ( UR-49, SC- 14, ST- 7, OBC- 27)
Educational Qualification- Graduation with one year Diploma in the computers, Degree, Master Degree in the related field, Bachelor degree in Science, Three year diploma in the related field.

Age Limit( As on 31st march 2013)- The candidate age must be between 18-30 years for Assistant and Stenographer vacancies and for all other vacancies, the age must be between 18-27 years.
Fee payable- The candidate must have to pay the fee of Rs 350 for Junior Stenographer and Lower Division clerk vacancies and Rs 500 for all other vacancies plus Rs 35 ( Transaction charges of bank) through System generated Challan form and deposit the fee to the nearest state bank of India and No fee for SC/ST/PWD and Women candidates, Ex-serviceman and existing departmental candidates of BIS.

Last date of completion of step-1 of online registration- 17th May 2013
