High Court of Jammu and Kashmir at Jammu (Chief Justice's secretariat) has publish its latest Notification under No 986, Dt.:- 20-2-2014 for the various available vacancies of Data Entry operator, Steno Typist and Junior Assistant and Driver and the detailed Notification which will defines the complete eligibility criteria and No of Post available has been hosted on to the official website and for this Applications in the Prescribed format has been invited from the permanent resident of J&K state who fulfills the basic eligibility criteria before the last date.The more details related to the recruitment is given below

A) State Cadre
Total vacancies- 3 vacancies
1) Data Entry operator- 3 vacancies ( ST- 2 and SC-1 )
Prescribed Qualification- Graduation with Proficiency in English Language and having elementary knowledge in Urdu. or B.C.A Degree with expertise in typing.
B) Divisional Cadre Kashmir
Total vacancies- 89 vacancies
1) Steno Typist- 18 vacancies (OM- 1, RBA- 08, SC- 04, ST- 04 and ALC- 01)
2) Junior Assistant- 69 vacancies (OM- 40, RBA- 14, SC- 06, ST- 07, OSC- 01 and ALC- 01)
3) Driver- 02 vacancies (OM- 02)
Prescribed Qualification
S.No 1- Graduate or Diploma in Shorthand having Speed of 60 W.P.M and in typewriting having speed of 30 W.P.M.
S.No 2- Graduation and working Knowledge of urdu.
S.No 3- Matric Pass with valid LMV driving licence

1) Steno Typist- 11 vacancies (RBA- 06, SC- 01, ST- 03 and ALC- 01)
2) Junior Assistant- 60 vacancies (OM- 34, RBA- 12, SC- 05, ST- 06, OSC- 01 and ALC- 02)
3) Driver- 02 vacancies (OM- 02 )
Prescribed Qualification
a) S.No 1- Graduate or Diploma in Shorthand having speed of 60 W.P.M and in typewriting having speed of 30 W.P.M.

Age Limit- The Candidate must possess the following age criteria in order to apply for these vacancies
a) Below 18 years
b) 37 years in case of open merit
c) 40 years in case of SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC
d) 39 years in case of PH
e) 48 years in case of Ex-serviceman
Fee to be Paid- The candidate must prepare the demand draft of Rs 100 in the name of Principal Secretary to Hon'ble Chief Justice, High Court of J&k drawn on J&K Bank Branch payable at Srinagar/ Jammu.
