The SBI now Plan to Recruits 20000 more employees in the up coming year 2013 in which there is approx. 19000 Clerks and 1000 officers vacancies but these are Just the tentative Figures ans these numbers will be gone up or down as per the SBI Management Decisions and SBI needs to done this recruitment because of the opening of  more than 1000 new branches and the other one is overcome the shortage of its Retirement employees in the coming years and also the bank is facing the shortage of clerks for its Various already existing branches.

Now as per the information as on March 2012, the SBI branches strength in India is approx 140000 branches and its employees strength is more than 2 Lacs in which approx. 80,000 officers and 95000 Clerks and rest will be sub staff and as per the information the Bank wants to increase its employees strength by nearly 10% in the coming years to match its full numbers.
